Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions page! Here you'll find answers to some of the most common home remodeling questions we receive from our customers. How soon can you start our renovation project?

Answer: Depending on the scope of work and time of year, we generally are able to schedule most projects within 3 weeks. 

How can I ensure my home renovation project stays within budget?

Answer: The pricing we provide is a fixed price for your renovation project. The items that would fall in addition to our fixed price would be items added on by the homeowner or unexpected circumstances such as discovering severe termite damage after removing sheetrock on a wall.

 

What areas of Long Island do you service?

Answer: We service the areas we are licensed and insured for. This is only Nassau and Suffolk counties. In regards to Suffolk County, most areas located east of Patchogue are likely outside of our service area.

 

Are you licensed and insured?

Answer: Yes, we are licensed and insured in both Nassau and Suffolk counties

 

Do you offer financing options for home renovations?

Answer: Yes, we do offer finance options up to $100k. You can apply directly on our website: https://www.mjfhomeupgrades.com/finance

 

Do you have a showroom?

Answer: We do not have a showroom. However, we will provide refer you to our vendors to choose your materials as well as assist you with any questions, concerns, advice or recommendations.

 

Do you work with subcontractors?

Answer: We have our own team of in-house carpenters. We do use trusted and skilled trade partners for certain aspects of your project such as plumbers and electricians.
